回到學校的第一天，我已經要面對重重難關。
我還未到紐約之前我已經知道我會遇見很多不同的人；會有人擁有不同的價值觀，不同的宗教背境，不同的處事態度和方法，甚至不同的性取向。
我從少到大都是在一個被保護的環境長大。就算經歷過反叛期，我也沒有亂識朋友，去沉謎喝酒，吸毒，跳舞，抽煙，等等。
想不到我會在對學校充滿熱情的第一天就已經要面對很多temptations。
有人跟我說，「I wish you smoked or have other bad habits.」。
她又說，「Let's go bar-hopping this week so we can meet hot guys.」
我很怕，我怕我來到這一個陌生地方就不懂得堅持，不懂得說「不」。
我怕我會慢慢失去我自己。
幸好，我還有一位時常看顧我的天父。
他用這節聖經提醒了我：
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
I Corinthians 10:13
